Money shouldn't complicate friendships
Splitter started from a simple, familiar annoyance: someone always ends up fronting the bill, someone always forgets to pay it back, and nobody wants to be the one bringing it up — especially over WhatsApp, in the middle of a group chat.
Why we built it
Group expenses — a trip, a shared flat, a dinner out — are easy to spend and hard to track. Sticky notes get lost, group chat math gets confusing, and "I'll send it on JazzCash later" quietly turns into nobody ever does. We built Splitter to make the tracking invisible and the settling up effortless, so the money side of hanging out with people stops being a source of friction.
Built for here, not translated for here
Splitter isn't an international app with Pakistan bolted on. It starts in rupees. It speaks Urdu when you want it to. And it already knows how people here actually pay each other — JazzCash, Easypaisa, SadaPay, NayaPay, Raast, straight bank transfer — instead of assuming everyone uses a card.
What we believe
Clarity beats trust exercises. Nobody should have to just remember who paid for what — Splitter keeps the record so the group doesn't have to.
Your data is yours. Personal expenses stay private by default. We don't sell your data, and group members only ever see what's actually shared with the group. Splitter never touches your money either — it just tells you who to pay and how.
Small friction, every time, adds up. That's why settling a debt, confirming a payment, or adding a new expense in Splitter is built to take seconds, not minutes.
Where we are today
Splitter is an independent app, now available on Google Play for Android. Group splitting, direct friend expenses, local payment details, receipt scanning (in beta), reminders, recurring bills, and Urdu support are all in the app today. If something's missing or broken, we want to hear about it.
